Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Follower Monkey collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the website, backend services, and Chrome extensions for Instagram, Pinterest, and Meta AI Vibes.

Effective date: June 25, 2026

Summary

Follower Monkey explains what user data is collected, how it is handled, where it is stored, and when it is shared. Most source, queue, and automation records stay in local extension storage; backend storage is used for sign-in, account ownership, subscriptions, usage limits, payments, and selected server-powered features.

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Follower Monkey website, backend services, and Chrome extensions, including Follower Monkey for Instagram, Follower Monkey for Pinterest, and Follower Monkey for Meta AI Vibes.

The extensions help users manage source collection, filtering, follow, unfollow, scheduling, dashboard, subscription, and account-management workflows for the supported products.

User data we collect

Google sign-in data: when you sign in with Google, Follower Monkey may collect your Google account ID, email address, email verification status, name, and profile image so we can authenticate you and create a Follower Monkey session.

Connected product account data: when you connect or sync an Instagram, Pinterest, or Meta AI Vibes account, Follower Monkey may collect account identifiers, usernames, display names, profile images, profile URLs, email address if provided by the platform, profile status fields, plan status, and the ownership relationship between that product account and your Follower Monkey user.

Automation and activity data: the extensions may process source records, collected profiles, queue entries, follow/unfollow status, filter decisions, daily action counts, dashboard statistics, scheduling settings, pause settings, and error/status messages needed to operate the extension.

Profile and content metadata: depending on the workflow you choose, the extension may process publicly visible or account-visible profile metadata such as username, full name, bio/about text, follower/following counts, privacy status, verification status, business status, media count, board or profile information, and profile image data.

Billing data: when you upgrade a plan, Follower Monkey may collect billing details such as full name, address, city, country, selected accounts, payment status, card brand/BIN/last four digits, subscription identifiers, invoice/payment identifiers, and failed payment metadata. Card numbers and CVC values are sent to the payment provider for processing and are not intentionally stored by Follower Monkey.

Optional settings data: if you configure optional proxy, AI filtering, prompt, gender filtering, language, theme, automation interval, whitelist, or review-unlock settings, those settings may be stored locally in the extension or in the backend where needed to provide the selected feature.

How we handle and use user data

We use Google sign-in data to authenticate users, issue server-side session tokens, prevent unauthorized account access, and associate connected product accounts with the correct Follower Monkey user.

We use connected product account data to show the correct account in the extension, verify ownership, apply subscriptions and account limits, support account removal, and provide product-specific dashboard and upgrade flows.

We use automation and activity data to run the features requested by the user, including source collection, filtering, follow/unfollow queues, scheduling, pause/resume controls, daily action limits, usage charts, and error recovery.

We use profile and content metadata only to provide extension functionality selected by the user, such as deciding whether a profile matches user-configured filters, showing the next follow/unfollow candidate, or keeping a local queue.

We use billing data to process payments, maintain subscription status, display active plans, manage renewals or cancellations, and prevent subscription abuse.

We do not use user data for unrelated advertising, and we do not sell user data.

How user data is stored

Local extension storage: Follower Monkey uses browser-side IndexedDB and extension storage on the device where the Chrome extension is installed. Local storage may include source lists, collected users, follow queues, unfollow queues, whitelist records, filter settings, automation settings, AI chat history, profile image blobs, status records, and activity records.

Backend storage: the backend may store Follower Monkey user records, Google sign-in session records, connected Instagram/Pinterest/Meta AI Vibes account records, ownership relationships, subscription records, billing details, payment status, Chrome Web Store review-unlock records, and daily action usage/statistics needed for server-side limits and account features.

Account separation: local data is organized per connected product account where applicable so that sources, collected profiles, queues, and settings are not intentionally mixed between accounts.

Instagram, Pinterest, and Meta AI Vibes login passwords are not stored by Follower Monkey. Platform cookies and authenticated platform sessions are handled by the user's browser/profile and are not intentionally stored in the Follower Monkey backend.

Local extension data remains on the user's computer unless the user clears browser or extension data, removes the extension, or uses an in-product reset/delete control where available. Backend records are retained while needed to provide the service, maintain subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or operate security and accounting records.

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell personal information.

Authentication: Google is used for sign-in and token verification. Google processes Google account information according to Google's own privacy policy.

Hosting, database, and infrastructure providers may process user, account, session, subscription, usage, and log data only as needed to operate Follower Monkey.

AI and filtering providers: if AI filtering, prompt optimization, or gender filtering is used, profile data being evaluated, user-provided prompts, profile image URLs or image content, names, and related metadata may be sent to a third-party provider so that the provider can return a decision, classification, or optimized prompt.

Payment providers: billing and card information may be sent to the payment provider to process upgrades, renewals, payment failures, cancellations, refunds, and subscription status. Follower Monkey may store payment status, subscription IDs, card brand/BIN/last four digits, and billing contact details, but does not intentionally store full card numbers or CVC values.

Legal and safety disclosures: we may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, to investigate abuse or fraud, to enforce terms, or to protect users, Follower Monkey, or third parties.

Chrome extension permissions and platform data

The extensions request browser permissions only to provide the selected automation, dashboard, account sync, storage, proxy, and network features.

When a user uses the extension on Instagram, Pinterest, or Meta AI Vibes, the extension may read page responses, profile metadata, media/profile information, and account-visible data needed to collect sources, evaluate filters, build queues, send user-requested follow/unfollow actions, and update dashboard status.

The extension does not transfer every page you visit to the backend. Data is transmitted only when needed for authentication, account sync, subscription checks, usage limits/statistics, payment flows, AI/filtering features, Chrome review verification, configuration, or other user-selected product features.

Local-only data

Many operational records remain local to the extension, including most source collection records, collected profile pools, queue entries, local filter state, local automation state, and local profile image blobs.

Local-only records are used by the extension to run on the user's own device and are not intentionally uploaded to the backend unless a feature explicitly requires server communication, such as AI filtering, usage statistics, account sync, subscription checks, payment, or support/debugging requested by the user.

AI, prompts, and automated decisions

AI features are optional. If enabled, the extension or backend may send profile metadata, profile images or image URLs, user-provided prompts, and relevant filter context to an AI provider so the provider can return a filtering decision, explanation, or optimized prompt.

AI results are used only to support the user's configured filtering and automation workflow. The user can disable AI features or avoid entering custom prompts if they do not want this processing.

Proxy settings

If you configure proxy settings in the extension, the extension may store and apply host, port, protocol, username, password, and routing scope to the Chrome profile where the extension is installed.

Proxy settings may affect browser traffic according to the selected scope and Chrome extension permissions. Follower Monkey does not provide the proxy network itself unless expressly stated.

User choices and controls

You can uninstall the Chrome extension or clear browser/extension data to remove local extension records from your device.

You can remove connected product accounts from supported product screens where account removal is available.

You can choose whether to configure optional features such as AI prompts, gender filtering, proxy settings, automation intervals, whitelists, and pause controls.

You can stop using paid features by cancelling or removing subscriptions where supported by the product interface.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data, including session verification, origin checks for extension API requests, account ownership checks, and separation between local extension storage and backend records.

No internet-connected service, browser extension, local device, or third-party platform can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your Google account, product accounts, Chrome profile, device, payment credentials, and proxy credentials secure.

Children's privacy

Follower Monkey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
